OPEN REGISTRATION - for the Spartanburg Athletic Club SAC SHARKS Swim Team will be held on SATURDAY, MAY 9, 2026 from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. at SAC. Complete the online registration form to the right and pay fees at Registration. 

Swimmers must be able to complete at least a length of the pool swimming freestyle with rhythmic breathing. Summer Swim League is designed for swimmers 5 - 18 years of age who wish to learn or perfect competitive swimming techniques. 

Summer Swim League is a FUN Summer program which introduces developing swimmers to competitive swimming, and further promotes competition for more experienced swimmers, and swimmers who wish to compete with their High School Teams. Our emphasis at SAC is to teach good stroke mechanics so that all swimmers develop excellent swimming skills, endurance, and techniques that will enhance their love of swimming, whether they continue to compete or just swim for fitness. 

Our practice season runs from MAY 22,TO JUNE 26.  Champ Meet June 27. OUR TEAM PARTY WILL BE JUNE 30, 2026. If you are unable to attend Registration, please mail your forms and fees to me by May 20TH , 2026,  or drop by to me at SAC. Swimmers may join any time prior to June 12th. 

FEES - $80.00 per swimmer. Please remember you (and OR your children over the age of seven) must ALSO be members of SAC for your child to participate. Or, you may purchase a SAC Swim Team Only Family Membership for $125.00 per Family. Check with SAC for other membership options. Please do not contact SAC about other swim team matters.

PRACTICES: Beginning Friday May 22 , practices will be held: 

🗓 Monday – Thursday:

• 6 & Unders: 5:00–5:30 PM
• 7 & Up: 5:30–6:30 PM

🗓 Fridays (All Groups):

• 5:00–6:00 PM

We understand that it is Summer, and that you will not be able to attend all practices. However, the more you attend, the better you will swim. 

Swim Meets are held on TUESDAYS and some Thursdays beginning May 28 through JUNE 25th from about 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm. There will be no Tuesday practices once swim meets begin. The Ed Miller Spartanburg City Championship Swim Meet will be held Saturday, June 27th at the Middle Tyger YMCA.   

TEAM ATTIRE: Team caps will be available to purchase from Coach Colleen. Goggles are required.  I suggest Speedo Junior Hydrospex, Speedo Junior Vanquisher, or for little ones Speedo Hydrospex Kids or Speedo Skoogles. These may be purchased from AMAZON or SwimOutlet.Com. Pretty goggles do not work!! Our team swim suits are sapphire royal blue with the SAC Logo. In order to keep the cost of supplies down, you may select a suit from the following choices. Please order your swim suits directly from www.swimoutlet.com or AMAZON. To keep the cost of freight down, you may want to combine your order with other families. Check with Colleen for sizing. Colleen will take care of monogramming the suits. Swimmers must have their own goggles for practice. Girls must wear a one-piece swim suit to practice and a cap, or have their hair pulled back.

Directions - Pine Street to Country Club Road. At traffic light, turn right on Andrews Road. Turn left to SAC. SWIMMERS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PRACTICE WITH THE TEAM OR SWIM IN A SWIM MEET UNTIL MEMBERSHIP AT SAC IS VERIFIED AND PAID FOR, AND SAC TEAM FEES PAID. 

Membership Fees are payable to SAC. Swim Team Fees are payable to Colleen Miller.
